The TGV Réseau is one of the most recognisable high-speed trains on the French network, and Kato reproduces it in N scale as a 10-car consist spanning 1280 mm of track. The set includes two power cars with a 5-pole motor and dual flywheel, four driven axles and two traction tyres, delivering smooth and stable running even on layouts with tight curves.
Complete consist with interior lighting
All eight intermediate coaches are fitted with interior lighting a clear visual difference in N scale whether the train is moving or standing at a station. The white-to-red lighting change on the power cars completes the picture: the train has a well-defined front and rear, which is especially useful in a long high-speed consist for keeping track of direction on the layout.
Ready for DCC and double traction
Both power cars feature a NEM 651 6-pin electrical interface, allowing two DCC decoders (not included) to be installed for digital operation without further modification. The set also includes coupling bars to configure double traction a practical option if the layout demands extra pulling power or if you want to model a high-speed formation with two coupled units.
1280 mm of N scale train
With a minimum radius of 192 mm, the TGV Réseau K10924 fits into N scale layouts without requiring large curve radii, though it naturally runs at its best on long straights and wide curves. On a layout featuring a high-speed station or main line section, the 1280 mm consist creates that unmistakable feeling of a train pulling in and filling the platform from end to end something shorter sets simply cannot match.
