The Trix 23382 reproduces the 406.8 second class intermediate coach of the Deutsche Bahn AG ICE 3, the high-speed train that entered service from 1999. In HO scale and DC, it comes with integrated interior lighting and the special coupler with sliding guide that defines the Trix ICE 3 range, designed to keep coaches tracking smoothly through curves without breaking the visual continuity of the consist.
A coach built to form a train
Reference 23382 is a Mittelwagen an intermediate position coach within the ICE 3 unit. Its role on the layout is exactly that: to sit inside the consist and give the train length and coherence. Combined with other Trix ICE 3 models, it allows you to build a consist of up to eight coaches that, on the track, conveys the articulated feel of this type of high-speed rolling stock.
