The Azar Models SNCF bogie covered wagon is one of those pieces that in Z scale stands out for its relative length within a consist. At 75.8 mm on the track, this model reproduces the type of wagon designed for horse transport, finished in the standard SNCF brown livery with the characteristic logo printed using UV technique. A specialised freight wagon in Z scale
Azar Models has built this model in injection-moulded plastic with polished nickel metal axles, giving it smooth rolling on the track. The couplers are Märklin-compatible, with fixed buffers and hook-and-loop couplings, making it easy to integrate into existing Z scale consists. The minimum radius of 145 mm makes it suitable for compact layouts, which are common at this scale.
SNCF Epochs IV and V
This wagon covers Epochs IV and V, that is, the period from 1970 through the years following 1990. In a freight consist from that era, it fits naturally alongside other SNCF rolling stock from the same period, adding variety without breaking the coherence of the train.
