The Tamiya TS range has been the go-to starting point for decades when it comes to covering large model surfaces with a clean, even result. TS-15 Blue is one of its most recognisable blues: a straightforward tone with a gloss finish that needs no varnish coat to make its presence felt, backed by the formulation reliability that has made this range a standard in scale modelling.
Synthetic lacquer from the classic TS range
TS-15 is a synthetic lacquer spray paint designed for direct application on plastic. It dries quickly and, once dry, is not affected by subsequent application of acrylic paints or enamels, making it a very convenient base for continuing detail work with a brush. Each can contains 100ml, enough to cover two to three bodyworks at 1/24 scale with well-applied coverage. It is not compatible with polycarbonate or LEXAN bodyworks, so this is worth bearing in mind depending on the project.
