The Roco 6600103 brings together three 4-axle Eas 5948 open wagons from the Deutsche Reichsbahn in a single set ready to join any Era IV freight consist. Each wagon carries its own individual running number, giving the group the look of a real working train and avoiding the visual repetition that appears when identical pieces line up.
Three wagons, one purposeful consist
At 543 mm total length over buffers, the set already fills a generous stretch of track and lets you build the core of a freight train without needing to fill gaps with individual units. The fine-running bogies ensure smooth, stable movement, and the NEM 362 close-coupling kinematics keep the buffers travelling very close together on straight track, reinforcing the feel of a tight, well-coupled consist.

On the layout, inside the consist
Lined up behind a DR locomotive, these three Eas 5948 wagons instantly form a recognisable freight block. The set format with individual running numbers means they can be mixed with other loose units without the consist losing coherence: each wagon has its own identity, yet all three share the same visual language of Era IV freight rolling stock.
