The LS Models 40997 set brings together two first-class A10rtu coaches in Corail livery, featuring the distinctive SNCF nouille logo. The Corail livery, with its combination of grey and orange stripe, visually defines much of the SNCF passenger fleet from the seventies through to the early two-thousands. Two first-class coaches are a solid starting point for an SNCF Era IV or V passenger formation. Placed behind the locomotive, they give the train length and visual continuity before the second-class coaches or tail van. On a platform scene, the Corail colour scheme immediately evokes the atmosphere of the great French stations of the eighties and nineties no extra elements needed for the scene to feel instantly recognisable.
